@allyjrey is one of those friends that just makes you excited for life. I had the opportunity to snap this photo when she and @imstephenjones were wandering under some houses at Salmon beach a few weeks back. The joy in her eyes is absolutely genuine! @EricKimberlin and his puppy Clementine exploring. However, Eric isn’t really holding a balloon, but an AXE! The photo was too precious to ignore. I mean, look at his puppy looking up at him. I had to do something to show Eric’s love for his puppy dog. So, i replaced the axe with a balloon. BTW, Clem is an epic climber and swimmer! ( http://bit.ly/14ug5iq on May 16, 2013 at 04:40PM )

Had the pleasure today to meet up with Yaacov on my walk through Pike Market. He is an actor and musician that I met a few weeks back at church. Really lovable character and a huge heart! If you see this man, say hi! ( http://bit.ly/17BqzRk on May 16, 2013 at 02:41PM )

The photographer himself—not his equipment—is the most important element in the art of photography. His unique vision of the world, his experiences and memories, as much as his skills, are his real creative tools. With them he selects and organizes the raw materials before him, creating a picture to which others can respond.

Not only is @benschuyler an adventure seeker, praise bringer, coffee crafter, music maker, people lover, and the creator of #northwestisbest, but he is an excellent story teller. One of my first conversations with Ben was at a Thanksgiving party where he told me the entire premise of a TV show called “Finding Bigfoot” just to explain that one of the main characters “Bobo” came to one of his parties. I haven’t heard if they had found Bigfoot just yet. There’s are part of me that just hopes that they do and he’s drinking decaf tea or something.
It has been awesome getting to know Mr. Schuyler over the last few months, and I look forward to the many more adventures. Maybe we will find Bigfoot before Bobo? Was that a tree knock?
This photo is 2 of 2 of a small experimental series I shot when up exploring Lake Chelan and surrounding mountains with @EricKimberlin and @BenSchuyler. While waiting for a delicious fire cooked meal I asked the guys to try an experiment with photography. This is obviously a DSLR shot, the lighting was done with a combination of all our iPhones for lighting. I think the results worked out well, what do you think?
