Not a bad place to watch the @SoundersFC game today. Taking photos from the field in the rain was more enjoyable than I had imagined. Thanks Jeff Shaw for the hookup for field access!

These rad dudes came to hang in Seattle with me today. @colby.tricoli and @tytrudeau came up from Tacoma. After I got them hopped up on @slatecoffee we wandered down to the dock to watch Samson swim and eat burritos. Such a great day cd catching up and talking life! Let’s kick it again soon!

Hey ladies, look who’s the most eligible bachelor after last night’s wedding! Too much fun was had and it was such a privilege to be among the groomsmen for this amazing couple! #dennisandFriends

Tomorrow my good friend @iamdevondennis is getting married to the woman of his dreams, Megan. I have the great privilege to be a groomsmen in their wedding tomorrow and to have been a witness the miracles unravel in this relationship. Be sure to jump on his feed and wish them congratulations!

Never forget the memories even the bad ones. I have been in a season of growth spiritually and culturally. I don’t have my life together as much as I would like but I am exactly where I am for a reason. The people I encounter are an encouragement to me regardless of their beliefs and I get the opportunity to live life with them. If I was to forget the bad times in my life it would be impossible to relate to people who are going through similar bad times today. I want to be an inspiration to the people I meet. How about you?

Where are we going, where have we been? I get so caught up on these and anxiety takes over and I shut down. The thought of the unknown and looking back on failures makes it difficult to remember the importance of now. When what happens happened and what will happen will happen. It shouldn’t change who I am. I hope that I encourage you as I am trying to encourage myself to enjoy every moment even the ones that you’ll look back at and see as a failure but know that it was just an exercise for what’s happening right now.

Among the trees Amanda (@barefootgoodness) stands tall after conquering the hike up to Oyster Dome. This photo is from a few months ago. She’s rad!

Afternoon swim time for #thatdogsamson. I’ve kept him out of the water for far too long. Today, I’ve started teaching him how to jump off a dock. He isn’t so great at it, but maybe he will figure it out eventually!
Which reminds me. Finding rest and taking breaks had been on my mind a lot lately. Life isn’t so simple when we let it take over. What does it take to keep it in control? At what point is the hard work for success make us hit that breaking point? Rest is a very important part to making our busy lives more livable. I’ve been encouraged to take breaks throughout the day and at least one low key day a week. I’m not even sure what that looks like. With my schedule doing freelance it’s super difficult to do so and it’s so easy to become distracted by everything.
Since I’ve had Samson I’ve found that taking him out to a park has helped me get out and think about life.
How do you get rest? What helps you recharge for the week ahead?

Hanging out on the field with a goofy vest being a photographer. Couldn’t ask for a better first experience watching a Sounders game in person. Second half!

Just about to partake in a matinee showing of “Guardians of the Galaxy” with family. I couldn’t be happier to finally see this movie. This outing is in celebration of my nieces getting older! 10 and 13 year olds! Happy birthday girls! They grow up so quick!
